Yardley

Yardley is a British cosmetics brand, whose first successes date back to the 18th century. It is one of the oldest brands in this sector. Founded in 1770, its main products are soaps and perfumes. In fact, the beginnings of the great House of Yardley date back to 1620, during the reign of the spendthrift King Charles I of England. A young man by the name of Yardley paid the monarch a considerable sum in order to obtain a franchise to supply all soaps in the city of London. All information relating to this enterprise was lost in the great fire of 1666, except for one essential detail: the use of English lavender to perfume his soaps. More than three centuries later, English lavender still contributes to the company's success.
